What's the "Free Lunch"? There's no such thing!

"Free Lunch" is my boat, a Rockpool Alaw Bach, built by Mike Webb in Anglesey. When my wife and I were starting out in sea-kayaking, the company that I worked for was cutting back on staff luxuries, including the hitherto-free canteen. So when they bought out that benefit, they paid for our new toys: Free Lunch and a SKUK Romany called Dabbler.

What's this about?

This summer I have arranged to take a few months for some extended sea-kayaking. Enough friends have expressed interest - or even, in one case, "vicarious excitement" - that a modest foray into the blogosphere seems justified. However, despite a couple of decades in the information technology industry, I have less blogging experience than time at sea, so bear with me as I struggle with some minor technical challenges, including electronic communication from a tent on remote beaches.
Am I being vague? Well, yes. Deliberately. Let's get a few miles under the hull first, before revealing the plan to the world...
